Borracho Tacos & Tequileria

When the group that owned Marquee night club purchased the building that used to house Ugly Betty's, it was only assumed we were about to get a miniaturized version of the recently closed Marquee. What we actually got was so much more. After a complete gutting of the interior, Borracho's soon opened and upped the ante when it comes to quality in a nightlife establishment downtown. I'm not sure there's much they could have done to make it more ideal. Loaded with an extensive tequila selection, a diverse tap list and armed with a food menu that will make even the casual foodie drool, they have all the makings of a great bar and eatery. Their attention to detail in the remodel left little to be desired; the main floor is fairly open, with a just enough tables and booths lining the front wall. On the weekends you might find a DJ keeping the patrons entertained, but you'll never feel like you're in night club-- just a hip downtown establishment. And with shummer finally here, Borracho's is now able to use their massive patio, which essentially doubles their capacity. If anyone is looking at what makes a great nightlife spot, look no further than Borracho's.
